Day Two in Paris was really my first official day out and about! I met up with Jessica (the Blonde from an earlier picture and post) and we set out walking, with the Eiffel Tower as our true north. It was a fun day, albeit in the rain. We first went to La Place des Invalides, Napoleon's Tomb. The headless statue is from the gardens. We found our way around, and came upon the Eiffel Tower. From there we stopped into the Kleber Cafe for some snacks, and walked along Kleber ave. to L'Arc de Triomphe. We paid 8euros/5euros respectively (she's a student, taking French lessons) and got an 8 euro stairmaster workout up winding and steep spiral staircase, and then took a rest atop on a bench. We're so out of shape! After the arch, we walked down the famous street, Le Champs d'Elyssee towards Place de la Concorde, which is in front of the Tuilerries garden, in front of the Louvre. It was a good day, and even stopped raining by mid afternoon.
