Paris, October, Friday the 13th. What a day. First, it was a gorgeous sunny day, for all of you in the snow. Jessica and I met up and had some lunch, served by the rudest waiter EVER!!! Never ask them to hold the olives, that's all I'm saying. Next up, Musee d'Orangerie. Monet, Monet, and Rodin oh my! It's pretty small, so we didn't waste sunlit hours inside!!! It houses works of art from Picasso, Matisee, Renoir, Cezanne, Modigliani and Rodin outside! Afterwards, on to Angelina's Tea Room, for some desserts and hot chocolates. Now, I would suggest not to have both at the same time, and to share the one dessert with someone. However, hindsight is 20/20. We each got a wonderfully tasteful baked good, a mont-blanc and a millefeuille. Equally delicious, plus an ancient hot chocolate, L'Africaine. However, I do warn you service is SLOW, and again rude waiters. So far, we have not encountered any cute waiters, and the only nice ones to us have been the grampa-esque ones. We're keeping our eyes out for those ones now!

Being lactose intolerant, Jessica has on her camera, me passed out on a bench trying to get over too much consumed chocolates (those photos are to come). She was fine, a little tummy ache over eating too much, and thought it funny that I was thriving in pain on a park bench seemingly homeless. Good times. The bench time was good, A) I got over the chocolate in my system and B) there were PONIES!!!! We love ponies. We got to pet the ponies.

This weekend in Paris, they are throwing a festival, Performances Urbaines, (Urban Performances) at the Grand Palais, check it out www.rueaugrandpalais.fr . It started at 16h so we went a little after 17h (5-ish). It was awesome!!! There was a ramp with skaters, BMX and rollerblades, there was a dance off, DJs, live opera at night, musical talents b-ball, graffiti artists and so much more!! It was totally fun just to sit back and watch and walk around to the different events! It's on all weekend long so we might go back.

Tomorrow if it's nice and Jessica has the day off from being a "jeune fille au- pair" we will try to get out to Giverny to see the water lilies that Monet painted in his later works.
