Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

There's something to be said for streets that have cafe-restaus speckeled about, not just on every street corner, but litereally every two doors down another cafe! The lifestyle of sitting in a cafe and just ordering cafe after cafe, a croque monsieur (a la poule) or a ceasar salad - which turned out not to be a ceasar salad, spinach with peaches, tomatoes and a slice of ham cut in quarter pieces, very tasty alternative I might add. Jessica and I have derived a plan that enables us to have a little more fun at every cafe/restaurant we go to. We have to complete a little servey of each place we happen to try out that day. First order on the list, cuteness of waiter. Very important, I know. But every girl needs some eye candy, especially if we are to choose which one of these cafes will become our Hemingway haunt. So far though, only Hemingway's actual hangout, Le Cafes les Deux Magots, has the best eye candy, and to be honest the best food and atmosphere (not to mention washrooms! Yes that too is on the list!) Who knows what we'll do with this list, we might just write the best little travel book for women on adventures! Stranger things have happened.

I love the small details of this city. There are no screens on the windows, and they're all long and open to a small iron detailed fence. My friend that I am staying with, Shefali, and I threw a thanksgiving dinner party for all her French and expat friends. It was great, everyone brought wine and champagne, and that's the norm! The one thing that makes me laught, is how serious they are about they're dinner parties and wine and bread. Rose is a summertime wine, and baguettes, there are different ones for different seasons! It makes me laugh.
