Winnipeg is a Hip, Hip City

How can a city, with a Pablo Picasso Polar Bear, not be Hip? What's with Canadian cities and animal sculptures? Vancouver has Bears dressed up as super heroes; Winnipeg Polar Bears, Clagary used to have cows (not sure if they still do) Toronto has some remnants of Moose still around.

Winnipeg....well just my luck it was a beautiful day for a GWAR concert. Let me tell ya, everyone in Winnipeg was sketched out on crack. At least Mary was in my front yard wathcing over the hotel.

Van City

I finally get a layover in a city where I have some friends I haven't seen in awhile. My previous layovers, Calgary and Montreal, things just didn't work out and I couldn't meet up with some of you, c'est la vie, better luck next time!
Yay! I get to meet up with Kat, and marvel upon marvels, Andrew Tang meets me at the bus station.....did y'all know they were back together?!?! News to me, since like March!! We walked around for a bit, ate dinner at The Cactus Club (right?) which has some great, fun art on the walls, one of an obese Mona Lisa....I loved it! Then we took a stroll down by the water and just hung out. It was great seeing some good ol' friends!

Summer Revisited

Well those who know me well, know that things always change. I did not go to Italy this summer. Something came up.....out of the blue one could say. I applied and got a job working, temporarily for the summer, as a flight attendant!!! Training was great, met some really amazing people, a good carpool buddy literally right around the corner! For some of us during training, a long 7 weeks, reruns of the 90's classic teen hit show, Beverly Hills 90210 became a great stress reliever.....do not mock, it's good stuff!!!
